Will Cannaponics crowd funding go up in smoke? 🔥

Cannaponics has raised $3.2 million from 1700 investors via crowdfunding. All in less than 24 hours. And probably a bit more by the time you read this.

That money will go towards their new 1MW solar farm, validation of their headhouse facility (where pre/post harvest, potting and stuff happens), and fit out of their quality assurance facility. Once the headhouse is completed in 6-9 months (September or October this year) they will start production.

It’s not clear if they’ll make their stretch goals at $4 and $5 million. If they reach $4m they’ll buy Nano-emulsion processing equipment. At $5m they’ll buy machinery to produce isolates and distillates. There’s about 15 days remaining.

Cannaponics were founded in 2018-2019. They completed construction of their greenhouse facility in August 2022.

To date they’ve raised $12 million in funding from government grants and investors. That’s a lot to have spent with production still another 6-9 months away. We want to see everyone succeed in cannabis and and hope the only thing going up in smoke is some dried flower.

CBD Anti-Inflammatory Trial results

A new Anti-Inflammatory from Incannex Health (ASX:IHL) has passed Phase 1 trials that found it to be safe and well tolerated.

IHL-675A is a cannabinoid anti-inflammatory drug for treating Rheumatoid Arthritis, COPD, Asthma, Bronchotis, Colitis, and Crohns disease. Incannex says this market is worth $125 Billion based on the performance of other drugs on the market.

They’ve started Phase 2 trials for Rheumatoid arthritis and are planning Phase 2 trials for Inflammatory Lung conditions and Inflammatory bowel disease. The Phase 2 trials will asses the safety and effectiveness of the drug.

Nimbin Mardi Grass 2023

Roll up and celebrate at Nimbin’s Mardi Grass cannabis festival this weekend. The festival is a protest against the prohibition of cannabis and an opportunity to high (😉) light the benefits of cannabis.

This year's event will be even more epic, thanks to the recent election of Legalise Cannabis MP Jeremy Buckingham and the presence of other like-minded Green senators. You can expect an all-star lineup of comedians, including Cannabis entrepreneur Jason Gann, aka Wilfred.

For those who love a bit of friendly competition, the festival also features the famous Hemp Olympix. This is a chance to show off your skills in events such as the Joint Rolling competition and the world stoned chess championship.
