Legalise Cannabis NSW High (😉) Profile Donors
Legalise Cannabis NSW has some high profile backers for their campaigns for upper and lower house seats on Saturdays election.
Alex Turnbull (son of perpetual windbag Malcolm) and donor to teal candidates Rob Keldoulis, have both donated to Legalize Cannabis NSW campaign.

Legalise Cannabis NSW are running campaigns for upper and lower house seats. The most high-profile of which is upper house candidate Jeremy Buckingham. He was the independent and greens MP in the NSW Legislative Council. He lost his seat in 2019 after resigning from the Greens due to allegations of sexual harassment.
Drug driving reform is a key issue for the party. Like many other states it's an offence if THC is detected in your system while driving. The Liberal National party in NSW has repeatedly voted down legislation to fix the issue.
Legalise Cannabis NSW think they are in with a good chance in the upper house following similar success in NSW and Victoria.
Other parties that are supporting legalising cannabis in NSW are: The Greens. That's it.
Ok, Labor will have a summit or something 🤦
Ok, maybe some others but if they do it wasn't easy to find which is pretty much the same as not supporting it.

$25k for MDMA?
The Sydney Morning Herald is claiming that treatments with MDMA and psilocybin will cost over $20,000.

They've cooked this number up based on how much it costs to run a typical psychiatric clinical trial:
"A typical course of treatment, spanning a few months, may be in the order of $25,000, plus or minus $10,000,”
The rules around new psychedelic treatments using MDMA and psilocybin are much stricter than medicinal cannabis. The TGA hasn't said much about exactly what is needed to run a trial, but they have said they need to be conducted under the supervision of a psychiatrist and in a controlled environment.
Most patients in clinical trials aren't going to be expected to pay for the treatment though. The funding will likely come from companies and universities wanting to further the research to develop commercial treatments later on.
So while the number is accurate about the cost at the moment, it's unlikely to be this costly in the long term.

Are Montu giving out gift vouchers?
Members of the r/MedicalCannabisAus reddit are reporting that Montu are giving away gift vouchers.

It's not clear how patients access these vouchers. Some are saying it's necessary to call Montu, others say they received it because they ordered something. We tried ordering something and haven't seen anything yet.
The gift vouchers are apparently between $25 to $75 and there's also supposedly a discount of 10%. If you've received a voucher or discount let us know.
Montu are aggressively pursuing growth with a reduction in the cost of shipping and initial consults. There is going to be a lot of competition in this space in the short term after Cannabis Chemist Warehouse partnered with Wellnex (ASX:WNX) on a platform similar to Montu connecting patients with doctors and pharmacists.
